People buy homes and along the homeownership journey they fall out of love with their home. They may even come to a point of disliking their home so much that they want to sell and move on.
I am here to discuss a few reasons homeowners dislike their homes and how I can help.
- PROPERTY TAXES – Many homeowners have very high property taxes and may fall behind on taxes. Sometimes homes sell for back taxes. Most of the time taxes are included in the monthly mortgage payment. If you owe a large amount of back taxes and cannot afford to pay them the property may be sold.
- HOME REPAIRS – Homeowners can dislike their home if it has too many repairs. Homes can get damaged or just have a large amount of repairs due to age. If a homeowner has extensive repairs and cannot afford to make repairs it is difficult to sell the home by listing it on the MLS. There is the issue on ongoing maintenance. Some issues include roof leaks, AC or heating, and a host of other major and minor issues. You have an option to sell the home in “as-is” condition to an investor who will give you a fair price and repair the home.
- LOCATION/NEIGHBORHOOD- After owning a home for a certain period of time a homeowner may not like the location, the proximity to town or certain places, their neighborhood, or other location issues. One can drive around and check out a home before buying, but some things are not known until you move into a home and live there a while. These can be reasons to want to sell out and move. Being happy where you live is very important.
